sel·vage (slvj) n. / The edge of a fabric that is woven so that it will not fray or ravel

My name is Emily. I’m a farm girl turned city girl turned country girl turned city girl again. I’ve lived in South Dakota, Massachusetts, Vermont, and now, Philadelphia. By day, I practice environmental law. In my free time, I collect hobbies—all aimed at keeping me sane while sitting at a desk during working hours. I live with my husband and our little menagerie: a Goldendoodle named Eleanor, a cat named Catman, and a lizard named Clyde.

While this blog is especially targeted towards my sewing pursuits, I also enjoy cooking and baking, hiking and running, and exploring new places. I used to blog but put that on pause when I went to law school. If you’re curious, you can see my prior sewing endeavors here and here. The best way to contact me is by emailing me at emily.dupraz at gmail.com. Thanks for visiting.
